Some years ago,
Bill Perry took my hand drawn papercraft Star Trek Deep Space Nine
U.S.S. Defiant model and made a
redraw of it using the computer.
He even made building instructions for the model, and now he has sent me
updated versions to improve the lay out of the parts, in standard
ISO A4 *and*
US letter sized sheets!
You can download
Bill's updated files or my original hand drawn version or another repaint by
Bones McCoy from my papercraft webpage:
Have fun building!
I don't see no picture!
ReplyDeleteDo you mean you can't see the picture here on the weblog, or that you can't see the parts templates on the download page...?
ReplyDeleteThere should be a picture here too (if it doesn't show up, maybe simply reloading the webpage a few times, or emptying the internet cache and clearing your temporary internet files, then closing all browser windows and re-starting your browser again may solve the problem?) but it is only a picture of what the built model looks like.
To see and print the parts files, you have to click the "download U.S.S. Defiant papercraft model" link. You'll be taken to the download page and then there's another picture (or at least there should be... ;o) and beneath that, you can find the download links for the different versions: my original hand drawn version (under "Download:") Bill Perry's redrawn version and the instructions he made (which you can also use for the other versions) And Bones McCoy's retextured version.
The files are all ZIP-files, so you have to un-zip them first. Most computers nowadays already have a ZIP-tool installed so you can just doubleclick the files, but if you don't have a ZIP-tool yet, you can find many different free ones online, like http://www.7-zip.org/
After you've un-zipped the ZIP-files, you can open the files inside to print the parts; my original version and Bones McCoy's version are in plain *.jpg format that any image software should be able to open and print, and Bill Perry's version is in *.pdf format, for which you'll need a PDF reader like Adobe Reader: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html (chances are it's already installed on your computer as well, though)
I hope this helps!
