German Christmas pyramids are a kind of carousel with a propellor on top of a long central axle.
They can be made in any size, normally out of wood, and candles would be placed at the bottom of the pyramid / carousel whose heat would cause the propellor and the different tiers to spin (but for this paper version, it's probably safer to use the heat from a radiator... ;o)
