May 15th - May 26th 2013 is Annie M.G. Schmidt week in the Netherlands!
Annie M.G. Schmidt (1911-1995) was a very famous Dutch writer who (amongst other things) wrote many popular children's books, like "Jip and Janneke" ("Yip and Yannika") that helped many Dutch children learn how to read! ;o)
