The "Viking longship" is probably one of the most famous types of ships in history!
Also called "drakkar" or "dragon-ship" because they would often have a dragon figurehead on the bow, remains dated 1000 AD were even found on the coasts of Greenland, making the Vikings the first Europeans to reach the American continent in their longships, long before Columbus! ;o)
