I have so many ideas for new papercraft models, that I'll probably never be able to do them all... ;o)
But I've been wanting to make a new Final Fantasy model, but this time it won't be from Final Fantasy X, but from Final Fantasy VII!
Back in those days (1997) the 3D models were kept really simple because of the limitations of the technology of course.
So in this first truly 3D Final Fantasy game, the characters on the Overworld map were kept extra blocky, but when they encountered an enemy and went into battle, the creators were able to use a bit more detailed 3D models.
Still relatively simplified compared to modern video games of course, the new papercraft model of Yuffie Kisaragi, the Materia Hunter ninja and thief that I'll be making, will be of her Battle Model! ;o)
As you can see, giving Yuffie back the right colours was quite a puzzle, and the real work is yet to begin...

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the idea of a paper "Battle Model Yuffie"; there's a long way to go before she'll be finished, but you can keep up with the "work in progress" right here on my weblog! ;o)
