The SR-71 "Blackbird" is one of those "Extreme Machines", as a Cold War spyplane that could fly higher and faster than any enemy plane or anti-air missile!
But now, Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works division is working on an unmanned, hypersonic plane using 21st century technology that will go twice as fast, the SR-72!
