In The Netherlands we all know that soon, whole droves of kids will be leaving one of their shoes for Sinterklaas (who will be arriving in the Netherlands from Spain later this afternoon 😃) to leave a small gift 🎁 in it for them!
Usually you leave it at your home for when he visits you, but you can also leave it at all kinds of stores like the Lidl Supermarket to get an extra small gift (usually some candy like gingerbread "pepernoten")! It actually might be a bit cold already to leave shoe and hop around for a whole month though, but luckily you can also make a free papercraft shoe 👟 to leave for Sinterklaas! 😉 (and they're black-and-white/color yourself too, so you can decorate your shoe any way you want! 😀)
