Be a cat in the platformer game "The Purring Quest" and socialize with famous cats from the internet, run away from dogs, help kittens escape from cages... You know, cat stuff. ;o)

Transformers Megatron papercraft toy

After Star Wars, League of Legends and others, Cubefold started a new papercraft toy series, all about "mechs" (big robots); the first one is Megatron, in classic form (but 'cutified' ;o) from The Transformers!

Papercraft haunted lighthouse

By now you should know that all the papercrafts from the RavensBlight website are haunted, and this lighthouse is no different... ;o)

Papercraft "Mass Effect" Sovereign

MademoiselleRed liked DaiShiHUN's papercraft "Mass Effect" Normandy so much, that she decided to create a papercraft Sovereign herself - and to share it with other "Mass Effect" fans! ;o)

Legend of Zelda Impa built by Noemi-in-Art

Noemi-in-Art likes the blocky Tomb Raider papercrafts, but this time she wanted to make a "smoother" papercraft, like Impa from The Legend of Zelda. ;o)

Papercraft "Warning from Space" starfish alien

It's clear that Uhu02 likes "weird", old Japanese sci-fi movies, and "Warning from Space" is no different: for once, the Staryu Pokémon in this movie (well, starfish-like aliens ;o) are actually here to help the humans!

Papercraft toy Furby

Remember Furby? No? Well, the talking children's toy looked like this. Luckily, this paper version will keep quiet. ;o)

Papercraft Pokémon Mega Heracross

I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason Javierini's papercraft Pokémon Mega Heracross made me think of papercraft Zant, from the Legend of Zelda? ;o)

Two short disputed island quizzes to win papercraft Shimaneko and Paiguru mascots

The Takeshima (Dokdo/Liancourt Rocks) and Senkaku (Diaoyu/Pinnacle Islands) islands are two groups of islands whose sovereignty over them is disputed by Japan and South-Korea and China respectively.

So you can imagine the politics over them, but more fun are the two short quizzes on the Japanese Cabinet Secretariat website (or rather, the prizes for completing the quizzes are: two cute papercrafts of Shimaneko and Paiguru, the mascots for Japan's Shimane and Okinawa prefectures! ;o)

Papercraft "Animal Crossing" Isabelle

Isabelle acts as the player's assistant in "Animal Crossing: New Leaf", to help them build a propering town (after all, she has to live there, so it's in her own best interest ;o)

Papercraft "Undertale" Papyrus

There are lots of talented fans like Nibroc-Rock that can make great 3D models even from 2D games, like Papyrus from "Undertale"; and with some work like portaldragon did, they can be made into neat papercrafts! ;o)

Download + build your own papercraft "Undertale" Papyrus (+lots more, by portaldragon):

(use a tool like the free 7-Zip to unpack *.rar files and the free Pepakura Viewer to open *.pdo files!)

Hand-drawn papercraft cars

I have a soft spot for simple, hand drawn papercrafts like these, because it's how I started making papercrafts (and how I still like to make them sometimes ;o)

Simple papercraft dandelion flower

Why do I keep forgetting to post about Sasatoku's papercraft flower series?? There's a new one at the beginning of each month, how hard can it be to remember that... ;o)

What kind of printer do you use for papercrafting?

Here's a question (well, 2 actually) that I would like to ask all papercrafters:
  1. Which brand and model printer do you use?
  2. Are you able to use thicker* paper / cardstock with that printer?
* Have you only tried regular printer paper (thin 75-80 gsm paper) or are you able to use thicker 120-160 gsm, or 200-220 gsm paper as well without your printer complaining?

Myself, I have an HP Photosmart D7160 (like the one in the picture above);

It's an inkjet printer and I always use 200 gsm paper for making papercrafts. That's 2.5 times as thick as regular printer paper, but it feeds through without problems, and makes my papercrafts very sturdy. ;o)

I hope many papercrafters will share their experiences with printers for papercraft, you can do by leaving a comment below please.

Thank you in advance! ;o)

(and you can stay anonymous if you want to of course; you don't need to have a Blogger account or log in to leave a comment on my papercraft weblog! ;o)

Papercraft Legend of Zelda wolf Link & Midna

I shared a papercraft wolf Link in honour of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess many years ago, and now Otaku Crafts made a new one in honour of the HD re-release! ;o)

"Paper wolfie" is still one of my most challenging papercrafts, and the one from Otaku Crafts looks just as challenging, but if you manage to assemble them, having a papercraft wolf Link is really cool! ;o)

Star Wars Episode IV papercraft toy Luke, Han and Chewie

A long time ago... (well, only a couple of weeks really, but I missed it then ;o) on the desk of Calvin Lin, some "Star Wars: A New Hope" era papercraft toy good guys were created to bring balance to the set of bad guys he made earlier! ;o)
