Koume & Super-Koume

When you fight Koume & Kotake in the first stage of the Twinrova boss fight in Ocarina of Time, they're already in overdrive mode, meaning they have a more impressive haircut.

I also really like their normal "granny-style" look though (which they also have in Majora's Mask) so while I'm at it, I will also make replacement heads. ;o)

Next time I will hopefully have unfolded all the parts that I fixed after the test build, so I can put them together with the other parts to make the templates and start the final build and instruction-making!

Besom 2000 & "big head" cheat mode

I've been fixing some stuff that I found during the test build, most noticeably the back end of the besoms of course. By bringing it back to a triangular shape and closing the open end kinda like an inverted pyramid, I think that after a few further adjustments, it will look much better than before!

And while I was contemplating on what would be a nice scale for Koume and Kotake, I was left wondering why not every game has a "big head" cheat mode?? ;o)

Torsos & besoms

To avoid getting bored by sitting behind the computer screen all the time, I decided to start test building some parts already.

I am pretty happy with how the torso is turning out, but I really still don't like the gaps and open ends on the besom bristles, even if they would have had doublesided textures...

So I will remake those so that the open end will be closed, and I will probably get rid of the double layers as well, because it just doesn't work that well in this case I think...

Always keep two hands on the broomstick!

Koume is setting a bad example here with her bull rider pose, but this is basically how the witches and the besoms will go together.

After remodelling the hands, I'm pretty happy with how they look, and now I'm just hoping that when it gets built out of paper, the left hand will still be in the correct position to clutch the broomstick... ;o)

Witch's besom

The bristles of the brooms (besoms) that Koume and Kotake fly around on, has two layers to give the simple shapes a nice layered effect in-game. I'll have to make a test build to see whether or not it will also look good in-paper, though...

She doesn't look a day over 300

Koume's and Kotake's heads look deceivingly simple to unfold in their N64 form, but there are actually quite a few small folds to be made...

So maybe I will still make some adjustments after the test build, but I'll worry about that later and work on fixing the rest of the 3D model first ;o)

Dislocated shoulders from flying around on a broomstick all day?

Besides the obvious texture fixes, I also made a start on re-modeling the shoulders so the arms can attach to the body the way I want them to (I really didn't just want to glue them against the body...)

Sorceress Sisters Koume & Kotake

I decided on a new project, something that will have the more polygonal look from Nintendo 64 games that I like so much: the Sorceress Sisters Koume and Kotake from the first stage of the Twinrova bossfight in Ocarina of Time!

Stay tuned for more updates!

Sharpedo release

Although I definately don't plan on paperfying all 493+ Pokémon, I just couldn't resist making a papercraft shark shaped like a torpedo...
Have fun building!
