Download notes:
- Download the parts:
- After using the Web Archive link, click the "Download" link on the archived website;
- You will be taken to the download page;
- Be patient and wait a little while, and then the download should start automatically (it may take a minute or two!)
- View the instructions:
- For the instructions, click the "htttp://ameblo.jp/..." link just below "Instructions" on the archived website and you will be taken to an archived version of the creator's weblog;
- You will have to browse through 18 pages on the weblog using the "1 | 2 | 3 |4 | 5 次のページ > >>" navigation links to see all the images and (Japanese text) that form the instructions.
- Copy+paste the text into Google Translate if needed you can't read Japanese.
- Important note!
- If the Wayback Machine has 'captured' a website in the past, it tries to show you what it looked like on that day. Often, the Wayback Machine 'captures' a website multiple times, and then if a certain 'capture' version doesn't seem to work, you can try a different time by clicking the Wayback Timeline at the top of the captured website:

ReplyDeleteAlthough it is an "old" papercraft and the creator's website is gone, I managed to find a working download link using an archived version of the website: https://web.archive.org/web/20140725163343/http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA022248/BELL222.html
DeleteI updated the blogpost with a little extra information about how the download works and how to find the instructions work too.

Deleteo que você não postou foi como montar isso tudo .... as instruções não estão completas e estão faltando as páginas principais ...
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind that the website you're trying to see if from 2007 (!), so getting the parts and all the instructions will be a little bit more trouble than normally, using the Wayback Machine and really trying out things until they work...
ReplyDeleteIt will take a minute or two before the download starts after you click the Download button, and that will seem *very* long for such a small file with the download speeds nowadays, but since you are asking the Wayback Machine to dig up a dead file from a discontinued download service from 15 years ago, I think it's amazing it can do it at all - but it should work!
For the instructions, there are *a lot* of little images/schematics showing you how the parts go together spread over 18 pages, but I don't know if the creator really made instructions for *all* the parts, or only for the ones that he thought would be the most difficult ones?
Also, every single one of those 18 pages requires the Wayback Machine to have captured that specific webpage and all of its images at a certain point in time! And it seems the Wayback Machine has even done so multiple times! Each 'capture' can be different, so if one specific 'capture' doesn't seem to work properly, try clicking a different date in the Wayback timeline at the top of the captured webpage to try a different date?
It will require some extra effort to try things out, but don't give up and be a little patient when working with the Wayback Machine, it's a great tool for cases like this if you're lucky enough for it to have the webpage you want! :o)
