Yesterday it was "Sint Maarten" ("St. Martin's Day", named after the Roman soldier Martinus that cut off half of his warm cloak to share with a shivering beggar and converted to Catholicism to became bishop Martin of Tours) when in some parts of the Netherlands children still go around town with a lantern to sing (and collect candy 😁) in his honor (kinda like a Halloween for the low-countries).

But I was very surprised to see that tfrog from Japan apparantly knows about this Dutch tradition too, because he released this super cute papercraft of Funerositora-chan holding her lantern (an original character created by Anmaku Tokeru, a mysterious child walking around with a top hat, lantern and scythe...) yesterday to coincide with the holiday! 🏮
...or maybe it was just a serendipitous coincidence...? 😉
