Cool ! I'll do this one... After the Black Knight ^^ Thanks a lot for yours models. But I use 160gm paper and it's not enough strong :( Some modifications could be made to have a stronger minifig.
Hollow paper really just isn't as strong as plastic of course... ;o) I always use 200 gsm paper myself, but if you take your time and don't try to play with the "moving" parts of the paper minifig *too* agressively, 160 gsm could also do.
One person called Jon Leslie who built my papercraft Redbeard minifig, used tissue paper soaked in glue to fill up the inside of the parts with a "honey-comb"-like reinforcement, making the parts stronger: you can read a bit more about it in the "hall of fame" and on his own website http://jleslie48.com/jl/110318_model/acs.html
The Black Knight has the most pieces of all my papercraft minifigs so far, and some of them are quite tricky! But I hope you can do it, have fun! ;o)

Very nice figurine ! You've got the Force with you ! :).
ReplyDeleteThank you! But luckily I didn't need the Force to make it this, because my midi-chlorian count isn't that high really... ;o)
