I will probably end up making them one at a time, because I like changing subjects/themes instead of fixating on just one series.
The "real" Cait Sith from FF7 has more white colours instead of the "beige" ones on Lulu's doll, and I guess Lulu used her own imagination for much of the shapes (which she simplified even more for her doll version ;o)
But even though it is unmistakingly *not* a copy of the FF7 version, I think Lulu did a pretty good job because it is instantly recognizable as a Cait Sith doll (well, for those who played Final Fantasy... ;o)
Well, it's no spaceship or anything classic science fiction like that, but it's definately not "real world" material either haha! So I guess you could call it science fiction, as well as fantasy.
This one isn't from one of the categories already on my website, though (it'll probably go in the misc categorie, I mean ;o)
You mean the "Going Merry"? I think that one is so popular simply because "One Piece" is! I might make some more boats in the future, definately for my AW series, but maybe other ones too!
If I did make Tetra's ship, I would probably make it in a different scale than KoRL, otherwise it would really become humongous...!
One Piece has so many funny looking boat designs... Maybe some day I will make another one! Probably by hand again, I like the way it makes the "Going Merry" look. ;o)
An interesting guess (from a flat, round disc to Pikachu? ;o) but no, it's not Pikachu...
Are you gonna start working on all the dolls after Cait Sith?
ReplyDeleteAnd is it just me, or does the doll look nothing like Cait Sith from VII?
advance wars black hole recon.

The picture is not from another AW unit, btw! ;o)
ReplyDeleteIf not Advance Wars then I'm guessing a sci-fi model...
ReplyDeleteYou should make another boat. Those are your two most popular crafts on the hall of fame, and there cool. Maybe tetras ship. just an idea

Yeah, Tetra's ship is a good idea!
ReplyDeleteTetra's ship would go nicely with The King of Red Lions!
ReplyDeleteIT'S PIKACHU!
ReplyDeleteU should make Thousand Sunny to go with Going Merry
