At first, it may look difficult to cut the shape for the (re)movable visor from a curved surface like the helmet.
But with some guidelines it's really not that hard: if you simply trace and project the shape from the scan through the helmet, and add an extra intersecting surface, the shape starts to appear almost automatically already.
Then all you need to do is remove the excess parts and smooth things out a bit. ;o)

ReplyDeleteI will make the visor out of a transparant sheet, printed with a light, bright green colour I think.
ReplyDeleteYou could also just use paper of course, only it won't be... transparant then. ;o)
Printed, transparant sheets won't have the "neon-green" glow of the real LEGO M:Tron's visors, though; for that, you'd need to find some special, neon-like transparancies and trace the parts on them rather than printing them, but those are very expensive... :o(
