You never know

Hero Clothes Link from Twilight Princess seems to be on top of everybody's wishlist to be paperfied (including mine: The legend of Zelda is just so much fun to play! ;o)

I'm not sure whether or not that should be my "holiday papercraft project" though (my vacation starts next week, yay! ;o) because it will take such a long time: if I work on it all day long, by the time I can start unfolding, my vacation will probably be over again...

You never know, though. Maybe I'll get a good idea for a nice pose (instead of this lame one... ;o) and get all excited about it...

  1. Maybe something like Zora Armor Link? Or perhaps in mid-swing?

  2. If you're making the swords and shield swap-able, you should make him the same pose as Zora Armor

  3. The sword and shield are independent of the pose of course, just like in real life! ;o)

I was thinking something like SSB:M Link; although sometimes it looks nice when the character is just standing there so you can admire it in all its glory, sometimes it's fun to have the character ready for action! ;o)

  4. I don't care what pose he's in, just PLEASE make him easier than SSB:M Link!!!

  5. well since you already maybe the Zora armor you could make the scale relative to that and the fold similar two so it should take too much time figuring out. but a different pose

  6. I dunno, what you've got there is pretty cute. :P But that's my inner fan girl talking.

If you're thinking about some actiony pose you could try something like him holding up the master sword. That might be cool, and original, since I don't think something like that has been done before...

Just an idea. Whatever you do is fine by me, I love your crafts, you're a great designer.

  7. and what about make him with pose that serves with the sword and shield out or saved, you know, as the link of link & epona :)

  8. I think it would be awesome if you made it the finishing move. You know like when he stabs the sword into the enemy?

  9. Haha making him easier to build than Melee Link shouldn't be a problem! ;o)

For Hero Clothes Link, I'm going to try the same style as for ZaL, so it should be easy enough.

Melee Link did have a nice pose, but there are lots of great poses that would work great with TP Hero Clothes Link I think, I'll be sure to let you guys know when I pick one! ;o)

  10. Well, you know how much I'm looking forward to this Link craft :D So I'll be checking out your progress, fo sho. I think it'd be cool to have him in a dynamic pose, brandishing the Master Sword, looking bad-ass. You're right, there are many poses that would look cool, so whatever pose you think up, it will be sweet! (If only it is possible to actually make an animated papercraft... because that move he does when he defeats an enemy and slides the sword back into the sheath, that rules.)

  11. yeah, ninjatoes is the master of pcrafts. we always say something about the pose, but always the final pose is awesome. ninjatoes knows well choose which is the best pose ;)

  12. It's possible to make a jointed paper model of course, but because paper can't shrink or stretch very far (like your skin or clothes do when you stretch or bend your arm for example) you would inevitably be faced with a gap or parts that intersect eachother when moving for example the arm from one position to the other...

You can make it look good for one pose, but not for all of them... (but that's why they have action figures ;o)

That's why I can just choose one pose of course. And whether or not it will be a good one, that's personal preference I think, like nearly all things. ;o)

  13. Of course it will be great. Just take a look at all your other models. I couldn't have thought of a better pose for those ones, so I'm sure this one won't disapoint me either

  14. Yay for Link! :D
I'd like a dynamic pose too, but I loved this one as soon as I saw it!!! Is it too much to ask for two models?! (Yes, it is, but I'll do it anyway! :P)
Oh, don't simplify the face/nose too much, if it's possible!

  15. I hope to do many more models than just one or two, but making two models of the same character design doesn't really appeal to me, sorry...

So it will just be one version of HC Link, in the same style as ZaL, so that's a good indication of the style HC Link will be (although ZaL's nose was hidden underneath the face mask and so are his ears, but you can get the overall idea I think! ;o)

  16. Is he going to be holding master shield and sword, or will it be the one zal was holding?

  17. Hero Clothes Link will have the Master Sword and Hylian shield, same scale as ZaL.

  18. do you know about which month your going to finish it?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Not really, I don't even know which month I'm going to start it...! ;o)

When it comes to making a new papercraft model, I don't like planning a long time ahead, because maybe next week, I see something on TV or the internet that gets me all excited, and then I'd feel obligated to make another model first just because I promised to and that would take away all the fun for me...

So I never promise a release date this far in advance, sorry! ;o)
