Tomb Raider II papercraft "Home Sweet Home" vignette WIP 2

Besides raising the bar (well, the shower pipe 😉) a bit because Lara was almost bumping her head against it in the paper model and straightening her legs a bit because her stance looked a bit... weird, another thing I'm planning to change after the first test build is, well, Lara's bottom...

Actually, "Night robe Lara" doesn't really have a bottom, as you can see in the actual game model, it's just the bottom of her dress. But the strange thing is, that the black shadow bulges out, which is actually very strange if you think about it!? There shouldn't really be anything bulging out from underneath the night robe for a shadow and be completely black...!

So I decided to invert the bottom a bit, and make it hollow, to have Lara's legs disappear underneath the night robe as they should. You can see from the game model that on game models like this, you have to fix the joints (waist, elbows, shoulders etc.) anyway, so the legs needed to change anyway.

I'm also thinking about using a "tab-and-slit" method to attach the legs in the right position. It's a bit tricky to cut the slits without cutting the part apart, but it worked out in a quick new test build of Lara's bottom. 😉

Stay tuned!
