I spy with my little eye... Ganondorf's eyes

I have been showing my work in progress pictures around, and several people have told me they thought Ganondorf's eyes were too large (anime-style big).

Although I don't really feel it's a crime to make changes to the game model when making a paper model to make it look the way *you* want to (quite the opposite) I did decide to make the eyes smaller again.
What else did I do? Well, I started making the templates. When those are finished, I can begin making the final build to take pictures for the instructions, which I hope to start next weekend (time flies...)
Stay tuned!

Ganondorf test build finished

I'm quite happy with how the model comes together; although I do have an edge of course because I made it myself, this one won't be beyond the average papercrafter's ability.

Especially not since I decided I'll keep it quite humongous: it's about 30 cm tall now and I'm not going to make it a whole lot smaller.

The robe turned out looking better than I thought actually. But from the start I wanted to make it optional, so I'll make a seperate PDF for it so you don't accidentally "print all pages" if you don't want to build it.

So now I can work on the the templates, then the final build for myself and for making the instructions, and then hopefully in one or two weeks, I can finally release it.

Stay tuned!

Ganondorf test build (*with* head this time)

As you can see, Ganondorf is turning out quite the giant compared to Oni Link.

But Oni Link *is* crouching a little, and well, Ganondorf really *is* enormous, even when compared to adult Link (which I'm assuming is about the same size as Oni Link ;o)

So I still haven't really made up mind wether or not I will leave him as he is, or whether I will scale him down *just a bit*.

Fortunately, I still have some time to think about it while I test build his robe and his sword (that one's not his ;o)

Stay tuned!

Ganondorf test build, part deux

I know Ganondorf is a big dude, but I still think he's a little bit *too* big right now... ;o)

Other than that, the test build is going great! His one leg is green because I usually use an even, green texture in Pepakura so it's easier for me to see what I'm doing. But because I wanted to see what the texture was going to end up like, I printed the rest with the real texture.

On the final version, his leg is not going to be green of course. ;o)

Stay tuned!

CardBoy 2009 Year of the Ox

Those of you that haven't heard of CardBoy before: it's a desktop calendar YOU can build. Available in both a Beef and a Veggie version, be sure to save the PDFs to your hard disk so you can build July-December later this year! ;o)

Have fun building!

Ganondorf test build 1

Yay, my main website (www.kickme.to/ninjatoes) seems to be working properly again! (it wasn't yesterday... :o(

So that's good news.

Other good news is that I finally started the test build on Ganondorf. It's coming together great, although it's a bit big and I think in the final version I will scale it down a bit. But that's not a big problem and won't really effect the difficulty.

Stay tuned!

Black Hole & Yellow Comet Stealth Fighters

Sorry to keep you guys waiting:

The site seems a bit slow today, I'm not sure what's up with that. Maybe my ISP is suffering from the Y2009 bug. Just try reloading and/or emptying your cache, it's still there. ;o)

Have fun building!
