ZaL 90%

I'm nearing completion on the 3D work on ZaL (for now of course, who knows what I'll have to fix after the test build...

Only a few parts remain, and I'll leave it to you to figure out which ones... ;o)

As far as the head is concerned, I decided I'll try and see how the papercraft model looks without the collar (better, I think, but we'll see).

Another point of attention will be attaching the helmet to the head. My first idea is to not build the front of ZaL's head and make some tabs on the edges around the hole so you can glue on the helmet to cover up the hole.

Shouldn't be too hard. If it works.

Stay tuned!

Airhead ZaL...

Been working on ZaL's face, simplifying it a whole lot as you can see.

Still some tweaking to do concerning the texture mapping, but I think in the end the paper will allow this simplified form to be shaped quite nicely into a nice head, but we'll see... ;o)

The legend of Zelda: Cremia's wagon

Here's Cremia's wagon to go with the Romani Ranch mule I made recently. And before anybody asks: I glued the front of the wagon together a little differently from in the game. ;o)

Have fun building!

Pirate Link

Busy busy, the past few days... But I did find some time to start work on ZaL's head.

As you can see, it's still far from finished though (need to give ZaL his eye back, for one... ;o)

Stay tuned!

More legs

Because of all the changes I made on the legs, I knew the texture map would be pretty screwed up...

I was already anticipating hours of work trying to fix the warped leg paddings when I would apply them as textures onto the legs... But luckily, remapping the new textures didn't give me much problems this time!

In the above image, I already quickly did one of the legs, and although I still need to tweak it just a little bit, I think making the leg paddings textures instead of actual seperate parts was a very good choice!

ZaL in tights

Back to work on ZaL, more specifically, on his legs, as you can see.

I simplified them a whole lot (the original ones are on the right), since they'll be much easier to build this way, and most of them will be hidden underneath ZaL's man-skirt anyway. ;o)

I think I will include the "leg pads" on his upper legs, but I will try to make them as textures, and see how that turns out first instead of making them as seperate parts again.

Stay tuned! ;o)
