papercraft LEGO Black Knight WIP2
Like on most minifigs, I can recycle a lot of parts from my other papercraft LEGO minifigs, changing only the colour and/or texture (even the helmet for this medieval knight is the same as the helmet of the futuristic M:Tron and Blacktron II astronauts! ;o)
Underneath the separate armor piece, the Black Knight has a textured breastplate on his torso as well. It's actually a bit shiny metallic, but unfortunately, my printer doesn't print metallic ink... ;o)
So I tried to recreate the metallic effect of the breastplate in the texture itself, and I'm quite happy with it!
I also made the new face for the Black Knight, it's not at all what you would expect I think, haha: underneath all that tough black and dark grey armor and the cool dragon designs, this fearsome Black Knight has such a funny looking face with a silly orange moustache and small beard... ;o)
Stay tuned!

You are a too fast designer :). Nice WIP.
ReplyDeleteHaha no, this was just really easy: I took the old parts from my other papercraft minifigs, and only changed the colours and textures.
DeleteThe real work will be to make the new parts: the dark grey armor plate, the pointed visor for the helmet (that will the most difficult part I think...!) the dragon plumes for the helmet, and I also want to make a sword and a shield, but all those pieces will need to be made new so that will take a lot longer...
