Google Android smartphone Cardboard Virtual Reality Viewer

With the Google Android Cardboard app and the Cardboard VR Viewer that you can make yourself, you can turn your smartphone into a virtual reality viewer! ;o)

The kit is not really a "ready-to-print" papercraft, but it has the drawings to make the viewer from strong cardboard. It's a bit confusing, but on the Instructables website, it's explained how to print it properly: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-print-the-2015-Google-Cardboard/

And of course, besides enough cardboard, you'll also need some lenses, magnets, velcro and a rubber band (and of course a smartphone and the Google Android app)

Read more about the project and get the templates to make the Cardboard VR Viewer here:
https://vr.google.com/intl/us_en/cardboard/manufacturers/

(Download instructions: click the blue "DOWNLOAD THE KIT" link on the Google Cardboard webpage)

    1. It looks like Google Cardboard moved things around a bit; maybe you already found it, but the kit is still there: https://vr.google.com/intl/us_en/cardboard/manufacturers/

Please note that it is not really a "ready-to-print" papercraft, but the PDF has the drawings and measurements you need to make the viewer parts out of cardboard. Of course you also need the right lenses and some other parts (it's all explained in the kit).

On Instructables there's a page that explains how to use it: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-print-the-2015-Google-Cardboard/, I hope that helps. I'll add it to the post, because it is a bit confusing. Have fun!
