Young Lara papercraft vignette WIP5



When you're making a 3D model to unfold with Pepakura Designer, it's important to imagine in your head already how you are going to build it.

That way, you can plan ahead to make that possible. ;o)

Connecting young Lara's waist to her shorts was done by the "hollow shell"-method, because at that point, you can still reach inside the parts, so it will be easy to glue them together.

To connect young Lara's waist to her upper body though, I used the "flat surface"- method again, like I did with the boots and the legs.

This technique works easiest if the surfaces aren't the same size (the bottom of young Lara's jacket is wider than her waist) but to give the illusion that the parts are actually continuous, the bottom part of her white shirt will be one, larger panel.

That way, you won't get a seam there in the final papercraft model, which wouldn't have looked very nice, I think...
