As a mix between the original 1998 Grim Fandango game model and the 2015 remastered textures, paper Manny turned out really nice!

  3. Was searching for a Glottis papercraft, but found this instead. I made a Manny in his Ruba Cava tux for friend once, never got around to making one for myself but will be making this very soon. Thanks for sharing! (Would love a Glottis too though 😉)

    1. I'm happy to hear you like my Paper Manny! ;o) I remember the paper Manny in his white suit, you can still find him online too I think! :o)

Although I love making papercrafts, I can't promise for sure that I'll ever get around to making Glottis I'm afraid, because I already have so many ideas... I did make a tutorial on how to extract Manny (and any other character from the game the same way) to use a basis:
      https://ninjatoes.blogspot.com/2020/02/how-to-rip-some-pun-intended-manny-from.html

And I posted several Work in progress posts how I remodelled him to make him suited for papercraft (although you can do as much or as little work on this step as you want):
      https://ninjatoes.blogspot.com/search/label/Grim%20Fandango

Then with a simple tool called Pepakura Designer you can unfold the 3D model into 2D papercraft parts:
https://tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/ (you can try it out for free, and print your work as a PDF file, but if you want to save or export your work you will have to buy a license key)

So if maybe some day you feel bored you can have a go at making a paper Glottis yourself...? ;o)
