It isn't a "vignette" without a little bit of scenery, of course! 🙂
And probably a lot of Tomb Raider fans will have guessed the scene that this new papercraft Tomb Raider vignette will be taken from, even just from Lara's pose;
When Lara needs to get through a locked gate in Alexandria in Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation, she doesn't shy away from some letterbox burglary, or more broadly in this case, some questionable key fishing. 🎣🔑🚪
The particular scene is from when Lara ehm, borrows (...?) the keys from a storage room in the Egyptian Adventure tourist trap (where my earlier Mummy Attack vignette is from as well actually 😊)
I did change the storage cage to a small gate though, to fit more with the (mostly) 9 cm x 9 cm bases of my other free papercraft Tomb Raider vignettes. I think the size and proportions of the gate with the ornate figurehead look quite nice though! 🙂
And although the vignette might look pretty simple like this ("it's just Lara and a door!"), I think it will actually be quite a challenge enough, with a lot of cutting and small folds...!
But I'm up for it! 😉
Now, first this PSA:
Now that Lara has demonstrated how easy it is to get to them with just a broken broom handle and hook, DON'T LEAVE YOUR HOME OR CAR KEYS IN SIGHT of a door or window!!
Stay tuned! (and safe!)
