The Bordeaux metropole's refuges péri-urbains may look like art installations (and they kind of are of course 😉) but in reality, they are very basic shelters intended for people like hikers to spend the night for free while discovering the Bordeaux metropole and its surroundings (if you book in advance!)
Although... not at the moment understandably... 😷😟
