So here it is, the new dragon crest that I drew up for the papercraft LEGO Castle Black Knight minifig! Much better than the old one, don't you think? link ;o)
I'm working on the 3D models for the last two parts of the Black Knight minifig: the sword and the ovoid shield (I think the Black Knights were actually the first ones to use the ovoid shield, rather then the older, smaller triangular ones).
I scanned an actual Black Knights shield, and then simply traced the shapes in Photoshop. LEGO textures are actually often a bit misaligned, but I think my redrawn version turned out rather good! ;o)
