I just glued on the last parts I finished during the last weekend, so the head and sword will need to wait until next weekend.Well, maybe I'll find the time to finish the sword before then, but the head *really* has to wait until the weekend: finding a way to make "logical" instructions for particularly the hair will probably take some time. ;o)

ReplyDeleteBut I want to tweak the templates in Photoshop first, and then I will release one final version with photo instructions in PDF format.
I'll add a few arrow lines on the templates, and together with the instructions, I'm sure people will be able to figure out how to fold and assemble the hair (the papercrafting community never seizes to amaze me skill-wise ;o)
For my own build, I used the second best printer setting this time, but maybe I should've used the best. ;o) The fact that the wing is very dark and the lighting in the picture doesn't help either I think... ;o) But the wing is textured: http://img72.imageshack.us/my.php?image=17742028.jpg

ReplyDeleteJust wondering, are the cape and wings double sided? Meaning do we need to print out 2 pages for the wings and cape to get the opposite side, or do we just print onto the opposite side of the same paper to get the double sided effect?
More Zelda:TP models are definately on my to do-list, but I think I will try a model that will be a bit quicker to do for my next one.
ReplyDeleteI made Cloud's wing and cape the same way I made Ganondorf's cape: one page printed on thicker paper, and the backside printed on lighter paper. It works best (simplest) for me. ;o)
