Luke's papercraft lightsaber is ready to be unfolded and test built!
Although for such a small LEGO part the lightsaber hilt has quite a lot of detail, if you examine it a bit better, you can break it down into very simple papercraftable separate shapes for the paper model.
Although doing this actually raises the polycount quite a bit than when you would make the light saber as one hollow shape, it will make the final paper model much easier to build, which to me is much more important than having a low polycount in the 3D model of course. ;o)
