"It's not a skirt...!"

It's just the bottom part of the tunic.
Some people wearing tunics can be a little sensitive about that distinction... ;o)

Stay tuned!

  2. In this picture it does, but don't forget this is a test build, and I used the cheapest print settings on my printer to print the parts...! ;o)

I think if I use the print settings I would normally use, the printer uses more ink and it will become darker again, more brownish-grey, instead of this more whitish-grey.

Unless you also use a cheaper ink setting when you print it yourself too of course. ;o)

  3. Maybe you should use edge coloring for this model. but only where you color the very edge, not the white tabs on the edge. I use this for all my models, and they look way better, with only a bit extra work. you tried that with the Buffy, and although I dont really like the real Buffy, the model turned out really good. maybe just try it on a few parts on the testbuild to see if you like it, then try it on the final build.

  4. uhhhh... there's no point edge colouring right now! this is only a TEST build, to see whether all the parts fit together correctly.

  5. Yeah, Alice and Buffy are pretty the only models that I edge-coloured.

Since the glueing tabs themselves *should* be completely covered up so you shouldn't see any white parts of those anyway you don't *have* to colour them, but because even if you do your best, it's so easy to glue them a little bit crooked, you can avoid white lines from those if you do.

But whether or not you want to colour the edges to get rid of the white lines is something everybody should decide for themselves of course.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all. ;o)

  6. i use felt tips to paint the glue tabs. i like building papercrafts and so this dont disturbs me because it needs more time^^

  7. Yeah, it's not a difficult technique, but it does take some extra time.

But if you don't like the white lines from the edges of the paper, it's really worth it! ;o)

  8. About Sonic... since Sonic and Shadow are already made why don't you try making a different character such as Sonic the Werehog or Silver the hedgehog.

  9. Maybe, but I like Sonic so much, that I really want to make him too, regardless of whether or not somebody else made him already as well! ;o)

When it comes to a Sonic papercraft model, Sonic himself is definately my first choice! ;o)

  10. You should make Sonic from Sonic 06 next Gen.

  11. The basic features of Sonic haven't changed much over the years of course, but when I make him, I think I'll make him a smooth model instead of a polygonal, more blocky model, and then it's easier to start with a model from one of the newer games, yeah. ;o)
